2005 to Present - Whetsell Energy, CEO
Developing Renewable Resources with other companies.
Pyrolysis of tires and production of algae to make biodiesel and syngas with Algrow Energy Holdings.
Harvesting Chinese Tallow seed out in the wild to make biodiesel feedstock and use the cake for high protein animal feed.
Developing a 25 year business plan to plant one million acres of Chinese Tallow Trees in South Carolina.
Recycle forest leftovers and commercial wood waste as a boiler bio-mass fuel.
Developing a container on barge service from Savannah, Georgia to Augusta, Georgia with an inland port at Augusta. Working with State Economic development agencies and private companies.
1985 to 2005 - President of Renewal of Columbia
Our company was the first company to recycle CFC's from discarded equipment. We provided this service to several major companies in environmental controls, including Pepsi Co. We exported compressors to Mexico to be rebuilt and sold worldwide. We exported plastic and metals to China to be reused. We also refurbished vending machines and refrigeration equipment to be sold all over the United States.
One branch of our company recycled and exported post-consumer paper, plastic and metals from 23 counties in South Carolina. We worked closely with government agencies including the Deparment of Health and Environmental Control (DEHEC).
1974 to 1978 - Attended University of South Carolina
Completed three years in Mechanical Engineering.
1961 to 1969 - U.S. Navy
Served on two light cruisers and the first nuclear powered destroyer.
Served in the Atlantic and Pacific.
Helped start up the first fleet wide preventive maintenance system for all the equipment in the U.S. Navy.
